Packages being kept back?

Sooner or later when you upgrade your system you would see something like: The following packages have been kept back: empathy mplayer mysql-server mysql-server5.0 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 4 not upgraded.
This doesn’t really impose a big problem if its your laptop. Why it happens? Well usually because the “newer” versions of those packages has unsatisfied dependencies or they need to remove something already install on your system, so they pass the ball to your court and decide whether to remove and upgrade or not. Experience with Google Chromium

I am a die hard fan of google for its free quality services. Sice chromium came out i was looking forward for it to become available on Linux. There were geeky methods like running it on wine, but i, for some reason i dont know, avoid using wine or applications that run on wine. So the other day i was surfing web and found this great link (from which you now that i am using ubuntu, and yes its the distro of my choice), i installed chromium and next thing is i am using it.
