Now to give you an overview of the article :-

Google is planning a Linux Based OS called Chrome. Well many praises and concerns rise at the same time on Google's plan. Some say that this will create Fragmentation in Linux , now fragmentation is a negative impact as some say that Did Linux needed Ubuntu or it would be fine to improve Debian? But on the other side thanks to GPL Google will have to share the improvements in the code and that will be good for the community.
Also Google got money and is household name will eventually attract great many user from Windows and Microsoft will have to bear the pain :D . Good for them. Rest you can read in the article :D

What sometimes offends me that OSs (or should i say distributions) based on Linux, use "Linux" somewhere in the name where as some doesn't. Take this google chrome OS for example. Anyways, thats not a big issue as Linus is not bothered by it, so lets see what does google have though i have pretty much idea what its going to be like.
As they say this would be an OS for people who are on internet for the most part of their lives, not for gamers, not a very good OS for movie playing or such. The major focus would be to eradicate or minimize the need of a desktop and put everything in a browser, you may say its a Browser OS or like that...
This could be good for netbooks but for people like me who program at one instant, listen to music, check email, play game and watch movies, i don't seem very much convinced to use this instead of any available Linux Distribution in market. Anyways lets see, may be i am wrong...
