Website Copier (Offline Browser)

HTTrack is a free (GPL, libre/free software) and easy-to-use offline browser utility.

It allows you to download a World Wide Web site from the Internet to a local directory, building recursively all directories, getting HTML, images, and other files from the server to your computer. HTTrack arranges the original site's relative link-structure. Simply open a page of the "mirrored" website in your browser, and you can browse the site from link to link, as if you were viewing it online. HTTrack can also update an existing mirrored site, and resume interrupted downloads. HTTrack is fully configurable, and has an integrated help system.

WinHTTrack is the Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP release of HTTrack, and WebHTTrack the Linux/Unix/BSD release. See the download page. http://www.httrack.com/page/2/en/index.html

Yes that is a very good software and I am fan of it ...
lets you have saved projects to resume again for where you left them and thats the best part of it.

good thing is you can install it on ubuntu via add/remove, all you have to do is:

Applications > Add/Remove

Select Internet
Search for WebHTTrack
check the checkboxes before both objects in the list of results.
And click apply...

There you go, start mirroring websites on your hard disk...

[EDIT]:
Before on windows i used Teleport Pro.
Then i download wget for windows from: http://test.saurik.com/tools/wget.exe
and i guess wget -r does the same thing as HTTrack, but has limited functionalities.
